No doubt, the Oregon coast has been explored, documented and exalted by photographers countless times over the years. Even so, I still find something new that captures my eye with every visit. On this particular hike down to the ocean with my wife Lindsey, we came across a singular spot in the trail where a wood log, covered in moss and being consumed by nature was simply begging to be noticed. Not one to miss an opportunity, I grabbed a quick shot and continued on our hike. Revisiting the image later, I can almost feel the cool air and smell the mix of ocean and damp forest that is unmistakably Oregon.
