As much as I wanted to capture the eclipse progression, I also wanted to capture the experience of the eclipse twilight. To do this, I used a camera that didn’t have a filter and was able to get this image in a single shot. This is what it was like from the ground watching the landscape change and feeling the temperature drop as the air cooled and darkness settled over us. The unnatural light and color change in the landscape and the sky was eerie and awe-inspiring at the same time. To me, this picture really captures the mood and essence of the moment.
