This is my absolute favorite place in Oregon. There are so many places in the state that I love, but there are so many reasons why this one is at the top of my list. It’s remote, practically zero light pollution –which makes the stars something to see – and the sheer vastness of being in the middle of nothing yet surrounded by such beauty; hearing the wildlife wake up in the morning by howling; and THE SILENCE FACTOR! I’ve never heard pure silence before and that place has it. If you go, be prepared!
